 Mac buyers beware December 3, 2008
I'm sure this is a fine hard drive but if you own a Mac running system OS X 10.2 or above, you will need to purchase additional hardware to install it. It is rather difficult to discern that until you open the box. Mac users beware.

I bought WD because I have had good luck with them in the past. This drive was purchased as a replacement for a factory-installed Samsung hard drive in a Dell PC. This WD was very easy to install and has been performing just fine for five months.

What can I say, no complaints, works great, it's quiet and reliable. I've had good luck with other WD drives and expect the same quality here.

I ordered these to replace 2 HDs that were too small, and one drive that was showing signs of failure. So far all three of these drives are working fine. I have no reason to complain.
