5 out of 5 stars One of the Best Economical PSU's   January 6, 2009
This is the perfect replacement PSU for an OEM built PC. Pre-built machines usually ship with minimum 300 watt power supplies. So before any upgrades can be done, a new power supply is mandatory.

The dual fans are good for extra cooling and the mesh wraps on the cabling is a nice touch. This PSU features the 20+4 pin power connector that will work on both 20 pin and 24 pin mobos. At +12V its rated 18amps and at +5V its rated 30 amps.

The one thing that I found to be a drawback, is the fact that it has 9 peripheral 4 pin connectors. A computer with a 430 watt PSU doesn't need that many and all the extra cables take up more space inside the case and probably hinder the ventilation a bit. So remember to get lots of extra cable wraps and plan on spending about 15 minutes finding the best way to organize all the extra cabling so its as neat as possible.

It has 2 SATA connectors. But these are close together and will only reach two internal hard drives that are mounted one on top of the other. If you have 1 internal hard drive and one SATA DVD drive, you will need a SATA to 4 pin adapter cable as the 2 SATA connectors will not reach. (There like 2 inches apart.)

4 out of 5 stars Quality PSU!   December 24, 2008
I bought this PSU to support a new graphics card I recently bought.
This PSU is perfect aside from it's big size which made me thought it wouldn't fit in the case at first. Fortunately however, it fitted perfectly just make sure the wires don't block the fan if you have a small ATX case like me. Other than that this PSU is really worth the price it is now!

5 out of 5 stars GREAT BUY   December 19, 2008
GREAT PRICE VERY HAPPY HAD ALL THE CABLES AND SOME(YOU COULD POWER 3 COMPUTERS MORE THAN A ENOUGH CABLES)VERY QUIET I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

5 out of 5 stars Great stuff!   December 16, 2008
The reason I bought it is my new 9800GT card need PCIe power cable, although I could use some adapter cable linked to my old 230W supply to run it. I decide to buy it anyway after I read a lot of review of this stuff. I have used it for over 1 month now. It is very quiet and powerful enough to support my 9800GT/AMD quard core desktop. Highly recommended!
The only thing I do not like is that the two SATA port is too close eache other. It is not a big deal if you put your hard disk and CD-rom together. However in my case, I have to buy a adapter cable to run my CD-Rom.

5 out of 5 stars Thermaltake equals dependability   December 15, 2008
When it comes time to choose a cooling product, just go with Thermaltake. I have never, ever had any problems with any of their products. This particular power supply is very quiet (quieter than the CPU & rear box fan) and "just works".

What I really liked about this unit is the way they separated the wire groups coming from the box. Each group of wires are contained in a netting which makes the replacement job MUCH easier.
